The requirements for real estate licenses vary from state to state. I’m familiar with the law in Illinois, but if you live elsewhere, it may not be of much help to you. Since you haven’t been more specific, I’ll just give you the information I have. I think that the bit that might apply to you is this:
225 ILCS 454/20‑20. “Disciplinary actions; causes. OBRE may refuse to issue or renew a license, may place on probation, suspend, or revoke any license, or may censure, reprimand, or otherwise discipline or impose a civil fine not to exceed $25,000 upon any licensee hereunder for any one or any combination of the following causes: …
(b) When the applicant or licensee has been convicted of any crime, an essential element of which is dishonesty or fraud or larceny, embezzlement, or obtaining money, property, or credit by false pretenses or by means of a confidence game, has been convicted in this or another state of a crime that is a felony under the laws of this State, or has been convicted of a felony in a federal court. ”
If your judgment does not fit in that definition, you may be ok. However, check the rest of 20-20 in the links below- it’s a long section.
