How to search for cheap rentals near coast in south and east Australia?

I would like to do a big search for rentals (apartment/studio) on most of the Australian coast. I am moving to Australia, but doesn’t really have any preferences.
I’ve tried to use http://www.realestate.com.au and other sites, but I can’t find a way to filter out results that are too far away from the coast.
I am not familiare with the city or street names, so it needs to be some kind of map or an option that says something like “distance from coast”.

On realestate.com if you go to add ‘more search options’ you can click on the central coast, south coast, north coast and hunter all are mostly coastal areas in NSW, no more then half hour inland.
