If you don’t work and have no income, what do you think should be refunded to you?

Refunds beyond withholdings come from earned income. $0 earned income = $0 EIC.

If you do not work then no you will not get anything back. When your boyfriend claims you and your son as dependents he will get extra monies back for sure.

You ONLY receive a refund IF you actually paid taxes during the year. If you paid no taxes, what on earth are you expecting to get refunded back to you? A “refund” means that you OVERPAID in taxes. No pay taxes = no refund. Very simple concept.

A refund of what?? You earned no money and you paid no taxes. What’s to be refunded??

Depends if you filed a return last year and did not recieve the full stimulus payment. It is a refundable credit.
